This romantic destination wedding at Villa Muggia proved that even unexpected weather can become part of the magic. The couple travelled from Miami to celebrate their wedding on Lake Maggiore, welcoming family and friends for an intimate and elegant Italian celebration.

The day began with preparations at Hotel Des Iles Borromées, surrounded by the timeless charm and atmosphere of Stresa. Although September usually brings warm sunny days, heavy rain accompanied the wedding from morning until evening, creating an atmosphere more similar to November than late summer.

Despite the weather, the ceremony at Villa Muggia was incredibly emotional and intimate. The rain outside made the historic villa feel even more romantic, while candlelight, elegant floral arrangements, and the warmth of the guests transformed the spaces into a refined and welcoming setting.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed aperitivo inside the villa before moving to dinner and an unforgettable evening of live music and dancing. The band brought incredible energy to the celebration, and by the end of the night the rain had simply become part of the story — a wedding remembered not for the weather, but for the atmosphere, emotions, and joy shared throughout the day.
